I love this game and I have alot of friends at Uni who missed out on this game. Now my following question for you people who might know, does this HD version have a server list with steam network so you can just host up a server and friends can join through steam or does it use the 'Connect to IP' just like old 1993 game? And for those who own the GoG version, DOES it have the 'Connect to ip' or some sort of server list thats easy to use? I ask you this cause Uni network is strict and programs like hamachi and tunngle are useless for IP connects.

PS key feature from storepage.A new online multiplayer lobby: Now Steamworks compatible, Heroes® III offers an online multiplayer lobby, where you can share your experience with the Heroes III community. I saw this but as far as I understood workshop to uppload maps is gonna be in but still unsure about any changes to multiplayer connections. Thanks in advance. Multiplayer works fine LOL. Your hater friend Zaxx just admitted it doesn't work properly:D I meant the nature of connect to IP, it's very limited (you have to be rather close to each other) and when it comes to old games on new OSs, new connections, wifi, routers, modems, dyanmic IPs etc. Compatibility is not ensured.

That's when you have to search up solutions. Does it work? There is a chance it works out of the box however these days that's not sure so you need to work out some stuff. If you do that, it works. Is it as simple as Steamworks: no. We can say that the only advantage the HD Edition will have is that setting up multiplayer will be easy. Also it's a standard and we can also say quite certainly that the HD Edition won't have connect to IP.

That's not much in favor of this thing if you ask me. I know that when it comes to you I'm basically talking to a wall because you seem even worse than our old friend dbgager but still I wanted to clarify this. Originally posted by:LOL. Else create VPN and then you can connect. Else create VPN and then you can connect. Sure, it's not rocket science but let's take Paul for example: you think he could do that?:D For people like him the HD Edition is the better choice when it comes to multiplayer, we can admit that much.
